Ways To Lose Weight



 

In today’s society, weight is one of the biggest concerns that many people have. In the US alone, nearly 1 out of every 3 adults suffer from obesity. Around 30% of the population suffer from being overweight and this can have major health issues, being increased risk of heart disease, cardiac arrest, and lower mobility. However, this is mainly caused due to the amount of fast food consumption that is increasing and the fact that many people in poverty can only afford fast food. In this article, in order to protect the future from obesity and overweight, we will look at two ways that are the most effective when it comes to losing weight: calorie deficiency and HITT exercises.


Calorie Deficit

A calorie deficit is what the name presumes. Lowering your calorie intake daily and reserving your calories for more nutritious food. For example, many people rely on OMAD, or intermittent fasting, where they have one meal a day and fast for the rest. This allows them to lose weight while still maintaining a highly-nutritious meal. In order to lose 1 pound a week, you have to lower your calorie intake by around 500. The average calorie intake a day is suggested to be at around 2000 calories a day. This means, daily, if someone wanted to lose 1 pound a week, they would be eating 1500 calories a day. Most of the time, people tend to overestimate their calories and don’t understand how easy it is to overeat. For example, one sandwich can be 500 calories, or a third of your daily intake.


HIIT Exercise

One of the most effective ways to lose weight is through the idea of HIIT exercising, otherwise known as High Intensity Interval Exercise. What this is small intervals of working your hardest where your heart rate is at its highest. For example, instead of jogging for 30 minutes, you would do small intervals of 1 minute, running at your highest speed possible. By doing these high intensity exercises, it allows your heart rate to increase and therefore does more work on your body. In order for people to lose weight, one of the ways that people do it is through this. This can look like sets of burpees, high intensity core exercises, and workouts that get your blood pumping.
