Dr. Zile Naqvi M.D.

Dr. Zile is a physician by books and a journalist by passion. She had the opportunity to serve a diverse population after medical school, which made her realize that the challenge of understanding medical jargon knows no bounds, affecting individuals across all social
classes—a truth often overlooked by healthcare providers. She strongly believes that spreading health literacy is crucial for achieving the best preventative and curative health,reducing health disparities, laying the foundation for adopting a patient-centered approach, and upholding ethical principles of informed consent and decision-making by the patient.

Aishat Motolani is a Seattle-based scientific writer and researcher with a PhD in Pharmacology from Indiana University School of Medicine and a BS in Biology from Albany State University. With over seven years of expertise in scientific communication, particularly in oncology and pharmacology, Aishat is skilled at translating complex scientific and clinical information into clear, engaging content for diverse audiences. Her work includes numerous peer-reviewed publications and successful grant applications, highlighting her commitment to advancing medical knowledge.

Xiaoan Patrick Wu PhD

Patrick is a dedicated physiologist, communicator, and writer with a PhD degree in Physiology and Biophysics. He is passionate about making an impact on biomedical research and public health. As a research associate at the University of Miami, FL, Patrick currently works on discovering and developing anti-epileptic and anti-arrhythmic drugs. Patrick has published 20 peer-reviewed research articles and reviewed over 70 manuscripts for various scientific journals. He is a scientific ninja enthusiastic about science communication and writing. Patrick is honored and thankful to join the Medical Review Board at the MedReport Foundation, where he aims to promote public health and scientific education.

Jennifer John OMS-III

Jennifer John is a medical student at A.T. Still School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona, Class of 2026. She plans to pursue Internal Medicine and possibly specialize in Rheumatology. Aligned with the MedReport Foundation's mission, she is dedicated to improving health literacy by providing free and accurate health information. She believes that identifying patient barriers and offering education are essential for patient autonomy, and supports the organization's efforts to equip individuals with the knowledge to make informed health decisions.

Katie Pescatello MSN

Katie Pescatello graduated from Simmons University with a Master of Science in Nursing in 2011. Throughout her 15 years of experience as a bedside nurse and nurse practitioner, she has worked in various settings including acute care, long-term care, hospice, palliative care, gastroenterology, post-surgical care, and general medicine. Recognizing that communication in medicine is challenging, she believes that ensuring all parties are adequately informed is crucial to providing great care. She is deeply passionate about translating data into digestible information, using her bedside experience to make medical topics understandable and accessible.

Dr. Pallavi is a seasoned endodontist with advanced degrees in dental sciences and healthcare management, contributing significantly to both the clinical and academic realms of healthcare. Driven by a passion for research, medical writing, and public health, she is committed to improving patient outcomes through innovative research, general awareness, and evidence-based practices. As a Medical Reviewer at the MedReport Foundation, she aims to leverage extensive knowledge and experience to ensure the accuracy and reliability of medical information and contribute to the broader goal of reducing health disparities and fostering a patient-centered approach to healthcare.

Cheryl Haines MPH, MS, RN

Cheryl is a registered nurse with a strong background in science, holding advanced degrees in biology and epidemiology, along with a BS in nursing.  Combining experiences in public health, molecular biology research, and education with specialized expertise in cardiovascular care and infection control, Cheryl brings the unique perspective of scientist, nurse and teacher to the MedReport team. She also has years of experience in science and medical communication. With a commitment to evidence-based practice and a keen eye for detail, Cheryl aims to create an environment at MedReport where reliable health information empowers and informs individuals to lead their best lives.

Dr. Arindam Roy MBBS, MCRS

Dr. Arindam Roy is a doctor and health writer with over five years of experience in patient care. He holds an MBBS degree and is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS-A). Passionate about oncology, he loves to write health articles for public education. Proud to be a part of the MedReport Foundation, he believes that health literacy for all is the need of the hour. He is committed to addressing the root causes of burdens on healthcare and contributing towards making health information accessible to everyon

Victoria Melts MS in BioTech

Victoria is an analyst for a biotechnology startup with a background in biomedical science and a master’s in biomedical technology. Her experience spans genetics, neuroscience, pharmacology, and the business side of pharmaceuticals, enabling her to understand both the research and the practical, industry aspects of healthcare. She is particularly interested in drug education and developing novel therapies for mental health. Victoria is happy to contribute to MedReport’s mission of making medical information accessible and supporting the medical writers in their work.

Tenley Force RN, BSN, MA 

Tenley is a registered nurse from Southern California, with a background in medical-surgical respiratory, disaster response, public health, and nursing education. Tenley is a published author specializing in self-help for new nurses. It is her goal to equip nurses with tools to maintain their holistic sense of wellbeing in the midst of such a demanding profession. She is a current fellow at Duke Divinity School in the Theology, Medicine, and Culture Initiative, which has inspired her to promote the wellness of the profession of nursing at a national level. With a passion for education, public health, and preventative medicine, Tenley is excited to join the MedReport team to help make health education more accessible to all.

Dr. Aaminah Najmus PharmD

Aaminah has completed her Pharm.D in India and has worked as a Clinical Pharmacist. She also reviews manuscripts for the International Journal of Clinical Pharmacy, Annals of Medicine and Surgery, and other international journals. Aaminah runs her own blog, Medscertera, where she educates the general public about medications and various healthcare topics. She is passionate about making medicine and health information accessible in layman’s terms, empowering people to make informed health choices. This passion drives her desire to work with the MedReport Foundation.

Yvonne Stolworthy MSN, RN 

With 40 years of nursing experience, Yvonne is well-acquainted with the challenge of explaining medical conditions to patients and their families. Yvonne believes that prioritizing patient education can greatly enhance individuals' ability to care for themselves amidst various medical conditions. Her career predominantly focused on ICU bedside care, with a particular passion for assisting those with heart failure. Additionally, Yvonne has been an active writer on healthcare topics since 2020. She earned her Nursing Diploma from Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 1984, followed by a BScN from McMaster University in 1993. In 2015, she obtained an MSN in Nursing Informatics from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN, and has maintained an RN license since 1984.

Katrina Ajes BSN, RN

 Katrina Ajes is a BSN and Registered Nurse with a decade of experience under her belt, split between Staff Nursing and NICU care. She has also spent six years as a Process Lead Health Insurance Specialist. Her passion lies in NICU/PACU, where she thrives as a sharpshooter with IV insertions, caring for those precious little bundles waiting to be cradled, kissed, and sung lullabies by their mothers. However, she is open to handling various cases; diversity keeps things exciting, and she loves expanding her knowledge across different specialties. She believes her writing skills, coupled with my bedside expertise, can make a meaningful impact by contributing to medical literacy, educating readers, and delivering accessible health information.

She is passionate about making medical information accessible to all. Joining MedReport's Medical Review Board, Poornima aims to contribute her expertise to provide accurate medical content. She has a particular interest in zoonotic disease and public health. Passionate about educating patients, staff, and clients, she dedicated herself to helping others understand medical terminology and procedures. Leif Layman M.P.H 

Leif is a health scientist from Seattle, WA with an MPH in epidemiology and BS in biochemistry. Before shifting his focus to public health, he worked for many years as a tutor and educator in the chemical and biological sciences with a focus on synthetic organic chemistry. As an epidemiologist, Leif has worked with local health jurisdictions as a public health practitioner and safety-net health services informatics specialist. Some of Leif’s focus areas include mixed-method study designs, data analysis and biostatistics, social and psychiatric epidemiology, homelessness, and health education. He is grateful to the MedReport Foundation for working to combat public health and medical misinformation
